Tenders & Proposals Coordinator, Sydney

IA Design Sydney is seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Marketing or Communications with 1+ years’ experience working on tenders. Experience using Indesign would be preferred but not essential. You will be eager to learn and work as part of a high energy team. You will have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working on team based administration tasks.

The role:

Reporting to the Regional Director and based in our Sydney CBD office, as the Tenders and Proposals Coordinator, your role will be responsible for supporting the team of Interior Designers and Architects to win new business and projects by delivering market leading tender submissions and presentations.

This will include working with the team to analyse briefs, coming up with creative concepts for documents, writing and editing proposals and using your skills in Indesign to create edgy documents. You will assist the office with administrative tasks and be the face of our Sydney office by meeting and greeting staff and clients.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Proficiency in Indesign is desirable
  • 1+ years’ experience is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and enjoy working on team based administrative tasks
  • Able to be responsive to feedback/take direction but also use initiative

Senior Interior Designer, Adelaide

IA Design Adelaide is looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 7 years experience working on commercial and workplace projects.

The role:

The Senior Interior Designer is seen as a leader in the Studio and is responsible for the end to end planning, managing and delivery of exceptional workplace projects.

The responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility to deliver high quality projects profitably and to timelines
• Undertake full briefing with the client and provide a reverse brief
• Complete efficient and accurate site audits
• Comply with IA Design CAD standards and CAD documentation
• Schematic planning
• Create visual presentation material
• Deliver documentation packages to a standard that mitigates construction variation risks
• Manage the contractor tender process
• Manage the construction process
• Manage the sub consultant team
• Liaison with council
• Manage PCG meetings and provide appropriate reporting
• Client presentations and fee negotiations
• Writing and managing tenders and proposals
• Involvement in marketing activities
• Managing the project hours and financials
• Take ownership for and provide solutions to project-based problems
• Manage the internal design teams including prevent deficiencies and errors in work, monitoring deliverables and review documentation
• Mentor and instruct Level 1, 2 and 3 staff
• Present to clients to secure new business
• Ongoing contact with existing clients to maintain relationship

The requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline of Architecture or equivalent
• Experience delivering interior design projects in commercial or related fields
• Expert use of AutoCAD competency, MS Word and MS Excel
• Preferable experience in Revit
• Expert knowledge of the requirements of BCA/NCC, Australian Standards and Local Government/Certification bodies
• A successful track record in business development and client development
