Junior/ Graduate Interior Designer, Canberra

IA Design Canberra is looking for a proactive and ambitious junior/graduate interior designer with a willingness to learn and grow!

The role:

Reporting to Senior Interior Designers and the ACT Regional Director, you will be an integral part of the Canberra design team assisting on projects to provide design and documentation assistance.

In this position, you will:

  • Assist the design team with scheduling, space planning, hand sketching and AutoCAD production
  • Manage the studio library and coordination of appointments with all industry suppliers and consultants
  • Provide assistance to the Regional Director in the preparation of communications materials, submissions and other marketing collateral using Indesign and/or MS Suite
  • Work collaboratively with the design team to contribute towards the success of projects

Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised industry qualification
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Revit desirable
  • Proficiency in programs including Sketch up, Adobe Creative Suite and Indesign
  • Past experience in commercial workplace is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to be responsive to feedback/take direction but also use initiative

Internship – Electrical Security Engineer, Sydney

  • Seeking an Electrical Engineering graduate
  • Assessing and designing high security work environments
  • No experience required

The IA Group is a dynamic national consulting business specialising in office accommodation solutions, security engineering, business continuity and risk management. If you are a recent graduate, or currently studying Electrical Engineering then this is an unparalleled opportunity to be fully supported and trained in this growing and important industry.

The role:

As a Security Engineer, your role purpose is to assist a team of highly experienced security experts to deliver secure workplaces for our clients. This will include high security work environments such as government departments (Federal and State) and other corporations. We assess the risk and recommend the design to make these workplaces to the standard our clients require.

Activities as an Electrical Security Engineer include:

  • Researching security products and systems
  • Report writing including pricing on products and systems
  • Analysing information around security issues
  • Managing documentation of projects
  • Project Management
  • Assisting on new business bids and tenders
  • Assisting with technical audits
  • General administration

The candidate:

We are seeking a tertiary qualified Electrical Engineer (or nearing completion of qualifications) with a strong desire to work and learn in a corporate environment.  We will support your learning and development and there is an opportunity at the end of the internship for permanent employment and career progression. We have a fun office in the heart of the city close to public transport. You must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo security clearance checks.
